Differences between men’s and women’s skin
Shaving
Facial hair is the main difference between men and women skin. Daily shaving works as a great exfoliator for cheek area. But also becomes more sensitive and gets irritated faster. Men need to keep this part of the face well moisturized using an after shave.
Thickness
A masculine hormone called Androgen, increase the thickness of male skin. In fact it is 25% ticker than woman’s skin. Hence men’s skin is tougher and tighter, so could bears better the harmful effects from the environment.
Oiliness
Men tend to have an oiler skin than women. After puberty, sebum production is greater in men than women. For this reasons we have more acne. Gel, lightweight and anti-shine formulas works best over our skin.
Aging
Good news!, Men age later than women. Due to we have a higher collagen density. It has been said than woman’s skin is about 15 years older than a man’s of the same age.* But do not be to confident, both we loose about 1% of collagen every year, besides aging depends in daily lifestyle of each person.
Larger pores
As we have known, our skin is oiler. As a consequence we have more larger pores than women. To keep under control the sebum production and reduce pores’ size, we have to use face masks and toners to control oils levels and unclog pores.
